The evening of December 23, 2017, the 22th Luojia Alumni Salon was held in classroom 325 at law school. The Salon is honored to invite RIEL friends, Shenzhen city Longhua district government deputy mayor Li Shuisheng, he brought us a lecture entitled "Shenzhen environmental protection legislation".

 

This Salon was presided over by Prof. Qin Tianbao, Director of RIEL, Habitat Environment Committee Policy and regulation department deputy Director Zhang Xiaobo, the Yangtze River Water Conservancy Committee, Zeng Gang, Huazhong Normal University Prof. Wang Qingjun, Wuhan City Intermediate People's court judge Fu Jianqing, the former Director of RIEL Cai Shouqiu, deputy Director Prof. Ke Jian, Associate Prof., Director assistant Li Guangbing, Associate Prof., Luo Ji, deputy Director Hu Bin and doctoral and master students attended the Salon.

 

The salon was divided into two parts. The first part is the appointment ceremony of the guest Prof.. Director Prof. Qin Tianbao read Li Shuisheng's resume, and Li’s tutor Prof. Cai Shouqiu, former Director of RIEL, wear him the school badge, Prof. Qin Tianbao issued the letter of appointment. Prof. Li Shuisheng thanked the teacher for the cultivation and education, and said it was also a relearning opportunity to be employed as a guest Prof.. He would do educational work combining with practical experience.

 

In the second part, Prof. Li Shuisheng told us about the practice of Shenzhen's environmental protection legislation based on his recent twenty years' experience in environmental protection laws and policies.

 

Prof. Li Shuisheng first explained the source of the legislative power of Shenzhen from the legislative power of the Special Administrative Region, the legislative power of the larger city and the legislative power of the community, and then elaborated the legislative power and implementation of Shenzhen. Later, Prof. Li Shuisheng introduced the environmental protection laws and regulations system in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and focused on the innovation and implementation of the environmental protection legislation in Shenzhen.

 

Finally, Zhang Xiaobo, Prof. Ke Jian, Associate Prof. Luo Ji, Dr. Hu Bin made wonderful comments. The salon ended smoothly in warm and pleasant atmosphere.
