The evening of December 16, 2017, the sixty-fifth Luojia series lectures of environmental law, i.e., the 21th Luojia Alumni Salon was held in classroom 325 at law school.  This lecture has the honor to invite RIEL friend, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Prof. Wang Xi of Kaiyuan law school. He brought a lecture entitled "governance (Governance): theoretical supporting point of environmental law research"

 

This lecture was presided over by assistant Director of RIEL Prof. Li Guangbing, Associate Prof. of Peking University Wang Shekun, Associate Prof. of Zhejiang University Gonggu, Associate Prof. of Chongqing University Du Hui, Renmin University of China Prof. Zhu Xiao East China University of politics and law Prof. Zhang Lu attended and talked. Xi'an Jiao Tong University Prof. Hu Desheng, Prof. Huang Delin of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Prof. of Changzhou University / Hehai University Li Yisong, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Associate Prof. Du Jianxun, China University of Political Science and Law, Associate Prof. Hu Jing, Shenzhen University School of law, Associate Prof. Zhou Wei, China Social Sciences Publishing House editor Liang Jianqin, RIEL Director Prof. Qin Tianbao, deputy Director, Prof. Ke Jian, Prof. Li Qijia, teachers and students of RIEL and from other universities as well as lawyers attended this lecture.

 

At the beginning of the lecture, Prof. Wang Xi said that politics and economics are the basis of law. Environmental law needs to be studied from the perspective of politics. From "process theory" to "governance model", it is a long exploration. He explained the four aspects of governance, process, subject and rules through the interpretation of concept and the summary of enlightenment.

At the end of the lecture, students put forward the confusion in the research of environment law. Prof. Wang Xi, Prof. Li Yisong and other participants had a heated discussions on these issues. The answers have also benefited the students. In the end, Prof. Qin Tianbao again thanked Prof. Wang Xi for the arrival of a memorial certificate. The lecture ended smoothly in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
